Level 2 – Tactical Navigation (TRIDENT Platform) Dynamic Coastal Operations – Advanced Control Discipline This course is part of the Trident Subsea ROV Pilot Training Program, designed in alignment with current IMCA guidance for ROV personnel competence and logbook documentation. This module expands precision control into dynamic marine conditions. Participants operate the TRIDENT ROV in controlled coastal waters, managing drift, current, and positional discipline under instructor supervision. From Precision to Control Under Load Level 2 introduces operational stress factors: Cross-current compensation Controlled depth transitions Dynamic station keeping Manual hover without stabilization Obstacle approach in moving water Tether drag and tension management This phase challenges reaction time, spatial awareness, and micro-input control. Operational Objectives Participants will execute: Structured navigation patterns Target alignment under drift Multi-axis maneuvering Controlled approach and retreat Recovery protocol in moving water Emphasis is placed on disciplined piloting rather than assisted stabilization.
