Off Shore: Ship Wreck exploration
Where Real Missions Begin
Service Description
In the third phase, trainees advance to open-water offshore operations, deploying the ROV from a vessel operating within 12 nautical miles from the coast. This module introduces real mission conditions, combining depths up to 50 meters, open-sea dynamics, and the full suite of navigation and sensing technologies. Students learn to operate the ROV using sonar, USBL locator systems, synthetic radar, and depth sensors simultaneously, mastering multi-sensor integration for accurate positioning, obstacle avoidance, and wide-area exploration. Exercises include maintaining stable flight in swell, executing controlled descents, and navigating around natural and artificial structures on the seafloor. A core focus is shipwreck exploration, where trainees practice entering cluttered or partially collapsed environments, identifying structural features, and maneuvering through tight passages. The course also emphasizes tether management in open water, including current compensation, avoiding entanglement, and coordinated communication with the vessel crew. At the end of this phase, operators gain the confidence and skillset required for professional offshore inspections, search missions, and deepwater exploration tasks.
